June NEWS 2026
Welcome to the cherries month "June"
June is one of the most exciting months of the year at Heritage Orchard Farm in Sunnyvale — cherry season has officially begun! The orchard is full of activity as our beautiful Bing cherries reach their perfect ripeness.
The deep red cherries hanging from the trees are a wonderful reward for all the care and work that has gone into the orchard throughout the year. Known for their rich sweetness and firm texture, Bing cherries are a favorite for fresh eating and are a true highlight of the early summer harvest.
With the start of the season, our team of pickers is out in the orchard early each morning. Carefully harvesting the cherries by hand ensures that each fruit is picked at just the right moment and handled with care. The harvest is a lively time on the farm, with baskets filling quickly as the trees offer their delicious fruit.
After picking, the cherries are brought in to be sorted and carefully selected. Only the best fruit makes its way to our farm stand and to our customers. Fresh cherries are available daily while the harvest lasts, and we love seeing visitors come by to enjoy the first fruits of the season.
June is also the beginning of jam-making season. When the harvest is abundant, some of our cherries are transformed into homemade cherry jam — capturing the sweet flavor of summer in every jar. It’s one of our favorite traditions and a wonderful way to preserve the taste of the orchard.
During these busy weeks, the entire farm is alive with energy. From picking and sorting to selling and preparing delicious products, every day brings something new. It’s a joyful and rewarding time for everyone involved.
We warmly invite you to visit the farm during cherry season and enjoy the taste of freshly harvested Bing cherries straight from the orchard.
Warm regards,
Your Apricot Farm Team 🍑✨
